Vershum & Wilkes Wed 10/13/17

Tracie Vershum from Phoenix, AZ and Colten Wilkes both from Chandler, AZ celebrated their nuptials at Dream Manor Inn on a very special themed “Friday the 13th “ October 2017 wedding. A breathtaking outdoor sanctuary ceremony unfolded as the lovely couple faced a gorgeous waterfall. Officiating was Dream Manor’s own, Rebecca Williams who added the theme to her service by reciting an original poem, “The Nightmare Before Christmas” written by Tim Burton.

The bride’s parents are Paul and Tammie Vershum from Chandler, AZ. The groom’s parents are Melody Wilkes also from Chandler, AZ and Christopher Hohn from Tucson. The grandparents, Ed Wilkes and Linda Handley, also from Chandler, AZ; who raised Colten and were an essential part of the evenings events.

The Maid of Honor was the bride’s best friend since 5th grade, Paige Adams from Gilbert, AZ. Bridesmaids were the bride’s sister, Heather Kozakiwicz from El Paso, TX and long-time friend, Cassie Raymond from Mesa, AZ. The Best Man, Travis Roe from Tempe, AZ was groom’s best right hand man since birth!

A unique touch was presented at the reception as it was decorated in theme of “The Nightmare Before Christmas”. A lovely dinner and lively reception with approximately 75 friends and family followed into Dream Manor Inn’s Tuscany Banquet room. Owner, Carl Williams, skillfully hosted the event and tag-teamed with Dream Manor’s in-house DJ, Gilbert Jacinto from Genuine Events who packed the dance floor as the newlyweds and guest swayed the night away. Photos were provided by John Petty from K&K Photography. Lovely flowers and centerpieces were provided by Pinal Mountain Flowers owned by Christie Cothrun and Cindy Cothrun. The couple opted to have a Cheesecake bar for their guests instead of a traditional cake.

The couple will spend a stay-cation honeymoon at the OdySea Aquarium in Scottsdale, AZ. Colten works for Younger Brothers Construction as a Carpenter and Tracie works for Loan Depot as a Mortgage Underwriter. The couple will be residing in Chandler, AZ.
We would like to congratulate the new Mr. & Mrs. Wilkes on their new journey. We wish you a life full of love and happiness and we are so thankful you chose the Dream Manor Inn for your wedding!
